PURPOSE OF JOB:
•Strategic management of the marketing function for Mane Southern and Eastern Africa. 
•Oversee management of marketing assistant and cost centre management.
•Spotlight market, consumer, and product knowledge assimilation to:
•Drive innovation through market understanding by defining the trends and gaps to realize the annual targets
•Manage and compile customer insight data and presentations to support business and growth
•Support business development opportunities with market insights within key countries identified in the sales region.
•Support strategic initiatives and objectives

SCOPE OF JOB: 
Independence (Finance)
•Contribute to reach our Sales budget objective
•Collaborate to define Marketing and customer insights budget – South &amp; East Africa Region
•Respect Marketing and Customer insights budget
•Support, in collaboration with Sales Team, management of participation in association &amp; sponsorships actions as well as special events with defined partners &amp; clients
Customer Centricity
•Drive and contribute to the strategic plan with the commercial team
•Work with commercial team to drive collaborative key account plans
•Prepare focused key customer business case presentations in conjunction with Commercial team
•Support and contribute to different Business pipelines in collaboration with Sales, FDM &amp; Marketing Team members, different EMEA Fragrance Categories &amp; R&amp;D
•Provide insight into market solutions to establish business potential and drive profitability for customers
•In conjunction with technical, FDM and sales team, develop plans for launching new concepts/products and provide launch support
•Knowledge base development through market research determining customers' needs, preferences and also final consumers' needs
•Support and manage consumer and multi-country customer research projects directly to support the strategic focus
•Manage external research suppliers in order to implement the range of methodologies and geographies in the region
•Participate in the international network of consumer research managers sharing know-how and collaborate on international projects
•Build a local and international research network
•Support and contribute to Customer surveys to determine the customer expectations &amp; satisfaction
•Support participation to and organization of Local/Regional fairs/events
People

•Participate in development planning process.
Marketing And Consumer Insights
•Understand marketplace trends
•Support our MANE Sales Strategy and our Market Must Win Battles
•Interact on daily basis with Sales and R&amp;D Depts
•Lead strategic trends/research that translates into real-time business opportunities to support pipeline
•Analyse the market, customer diagnostics and makes recommendations to Sales Team
•Follow international trends and make local recommendations &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
•Marketing Management Qualification
•Plus: At least 5 years in a strategic position with exposure to market research, innovation and new product development
•Presentation and customer interaction experience on senior management level
•Understanding of research methodologies adapted to culture, region, and country experience.
•Network base of marketeers and consumer researchers internationally
•Experience in managing Consumer insights studies and tools: Euromonitor, Mintel, Nielsen data
•Business tools management: Sales Dashboards, CRM (MAPLE)
•People management
•Networks (internal &amp; external) Management
•Communication and presentation skills
•Willingness to travel throughout our SSA Region and abroad when needed, aligned with Business needs

&lt;b&gt;Position description : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The Fragrance Development Manager is a project manager in the fragrance division. 
His/her duty as manager is to assist the Fragrance sales team by answering the client's briefs, 
sharing market knowledge and building olfactive strategies.

SCOPE OF JOB:
Innovation
•Analyse the market and its evolution
•Create, complete and optimize a local fragrance collection fitting the market trends and expectations
•Olfactive description on new launches in the local market

Customer Centricity
•The FDM is given Fragrance projects which need to be compliant to the client brief and MANE Development Policies.
•Decide the technical &amp; human needs of the project
•Schedule a due date together with the Sale Department and to respect it
•Ensure the brief is answered correctly
•Justify olfactive choices
•Manage the collection using tools given by the company (classification of fragrances, stability test, GPM)
•Advise Sales department &amp; clients on their olfactive choices
•Active participation in Marketing presentations by allocating Fragrances adapted to concepts.
•Provide a critical and objective opinion to perfumers on technical &amp; sensorial performances to improve their creation to fit the brief better.
•Request for samples made up for projects
•Schedule stability tests
•Schedule completion of projects and send to client
•Maintain continuous contact with the Sales Department locally and of other Subsidiaries in Africa.
•Inform sales on any possible difficulties and to justify his/her olfactive choices
•Share olfactive knowledge with the MANE evaluation community.
•Engage with clients and visit customers together with Sale representative and/or Marketing.

•A good communicator with the ability to read and write in English.
